1. Where are your glass bottles from?
Our glass bottles are sourced directly from Italy and are recyclable.
2. Do your products have an expiration date?
Our commitment to safe ingredients that are free of chemicals and synthetic ingredients reduces the typical shelf life seen in commercial products. We recommend that your use your serum within 6 months of opening and store in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight. We recommend that you open the product within 1 month of receiving it.
3. Are your ingredients organic?
Yes. We are committed to using the highest quality organic ingredients that are sourced from best locations around the world.
4. Are all essential oils good for the skin?
No. First, organic essential oils are critical because it means that toxins, such as fertilizers, were limited in the growing process. Second, certain essential oils can irritate the skin (e.g., eucalyptus) or make the skin more sensitive to the sun (e.g., orange, lemon, bergamot).
5. Why do so many skincare products have toxic ingredients?
These ingredients may extend the shelf life, provide a certain texture, or provide a certain fragrance to the product. There are thousands of potentially toxic ingredients in traditional skincare. To name a few:
- Parabens are preservatives used to extend the shelf life - parabens are known endocrine disruptors.
- Phthalates are often included to stabilize fragrances or enhance texture - phthalates are hormone disruptors and have been linked to reproductive health issues.
- Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) is a foaming agent - SLS can irritate the skin and strip the skin of its natural oils.
6. What does "fragrance" mean as a skincare ingredient?
Fragrance is a confidential trade secret and can mean upwards of three thousand different ingredients. Around 70% of these ingredients are known hormone disruptors.
7. Why do I need organic and toxin free skincare products?
Skin is the largest organ in your body. Everything that goes on the skin absorbs into the body. Many ingredients are "toxic" to the body because they cause harmful effects. These negative effects can build up over time and it often becomes difficult to identify the source. Humans are exposed to so many synthetic chemicals and toxins in our environment that we have no control over. We can choose toxin free skincare.
8. Why are your products energized with high vibrational frequencies?
Everyone and everything is made up of energy. In the making of a skincare product, the energy of the production process and the human (or machine, in many cases) is reflected in the product. This principle is explained in Dr. Masaru Emoto's book "The Hidden Messages in Water" and inspired our mindful production practices.
